Is there an app for cataloging items?
Not at this time. You can easily catalog items using our responsive mobile website.
What's the fee for selling?
Fees are according to the plan selected when setting up your account. Fees are the lowest in the industry and you keep the buyer's premium! Since you keep the Buyer's Premium, you can charge a 15% Buyer's Premium to offset BidRush and Stripe fees to Buyers. See Pricing Page
How are payments handled?
Payments go straight to you through your Stripe account.
How quickly do I get paid?
You receive payment after the buyer's payment clears and is released via Stripe (subject to Stripe's terms, typically seven days after payment processing which is after auction closing).
When do buyers pay?
Buyers pay automatically with their credit card on file after the auction closes.
What if the payment doesn't go through?
With 10s of 1000s of transactions processed, unpaids are in the single digits - and often sorted out before pickup. Bidders who do not pay are banned so they pay up to keep their bidding privileges. An email reminder is sent, and a banner appears in the bidder profile reminding them to pay. In the event that they don't pay prior to pickup you can contact the buyer to arrange an alternate payment method or collect payment during pickup.
Can I charge a buyer's premium?
Yes, you can add a buyer's premium and keep the fee.
Do I need to negotiate with buyers?
No haggling needed—bidders compete and the auction sets the price.
Can I extend the auction timeline?
You can, but it's not recommended as it can affect trust and integrity for your future auctions. If this feature is abused it could result in account suspension.
Can I cancel the auction?
You can, but it's not recommended as it can affect trust and integrity for your future auctions. If this feature is abused it could result in account suspension.
Can I add items during the auction?
Yes, you can add items while the auction is running.
Can I remove items during the auction?
You can edit lots, and if you make a material change you can reset bids and even cancel lots (the system will notify affected bidders). However, resetting bids or canceling lots is not recommended unless there is a really good reason as it may impact trust in your future auctions. If this feature is abused it could result in account suspension. View how to edit, reset and remove.
Are auction dates and pickup times flexible?
No, set firm pickup times and communicate these clearly in your auction listing. You can setup multiple pickup windows when you create the auction.
What taxes do I charge as a seller?
You are responsible for setting the appropriate taxes on your sales, based on your business status and local jurisdiction. Consult your accountant or local tax authority if you're unsure.

Buyer Frequently asked questions

Can I bid without a credit card?
You will need a valid credit card to place a bid on the items. You won't be charged if you are not the highest bidder.
When do I pay for my items?
Payment is automatically processed with your credit card on file after the auction closes.
Why am I immediately outbid after placing a bid?
Another bidder set a max bid, so the system automatically increases their bid to stay ahead, up to their maximum.
Can I lower my max bid?
Yes, you can lower your max bid, but only down to the current highest bid.
Can I remove my bid?
No, bids cannot be removed after they are placed. That's why you are asked to confirm your bid before submitting.
Who do I contact with questions about an auction or item?
Contact the seller directly using the contact information in the auction listing for any questions about items, pickup, or auction details.
Are pickup dates and times flexible?
No, pickup must occur within the firm time window set by the seller. No alternate dates or times are available.
What happens if I miss pickup?

Can I negotiate the price?
No negotiation is necessary—the highest bid at auction close is the final price.
What kinds of items can I buy?
Almost anything—from everyday items to high-value goods—as long as it's not prohibited by local laws (e.g., ivory, fake brands, restricted items).
How do I know if my payment went through?
You'll receive a confirmation once your payment is processed. If there's an issue, the seller may contact you for an alternate payment method. If there are problems it could result in account suspension.
What happens if someone bids in the last few minutes of an auction?
If a bid is placed in the final minutes, the auction end time is automatically extended by three minutes. This gives all bidders a fair chance to respond.
What taxes do I pay as a buyer?
The seller determines the taxes to be charged based on their business status and local regulations. Any applicable taxes will be clearly displayed at checkout.
